1st Grade Play

Yesterday was the First Grader's play. It was about a little white rabbit who wanted red wings. The kids did such a great job, it was sooo cute. Jamison was a frog and a narrator and did a great job with all his lines. Here are a few pictures of the big production!

Swimming Time

Although living in Mexico is not always the most glamorous we do have the luxury of swimming anytime we want at Grandpa and Grandma's swimming pool/resort. My boys are all little fishies and love to go everyday! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa, what would we do without the swimming pool all summer????

New Family Member

Much to my dismay, we got yet another pet cat. We have gone through several and am not sure I am ready to start again. Some have run away, others have died. Our favorite was an orange cat Kason named Garfield that died about 7 months ago- right after Tanner was born. Kason, my animal lover, was devasted. A few months after that I was in a teacher's conference with Kason's preschool teacher and she told me how much Kason loved his cat Garfield and always talked about him and drew pictures of him. I was in shock. I told the teacher the cat had been dead for months and she told me Kason never said it had died. I felt sooo bad. Well, our neighbors cat had kittens and the boys talked me into taking a cute little gray one home. Kason is thrilled and loves to hold it and play with him. And of course, he is a boy. Kason has named him E.T. (he is obsessed with this movie right now)

Tanner loves to look at himself in the mirror and give himself big kisses, it is so cute! He also got his two little bottom teeth and is working on the top , they are black and blue and he has been running a fever and been miserable for about a week now. It is so sad how fast they grow up

Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY!!

Jared's dad called me up and told me the circus just got into town and was setting up less than a mile from our house. So, during lunch break I picked up the kids and my nephew Zander and we all went over to see the animals. I couldn't believe it, we saw zebras, camels, tigers, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, ponies, and a hippo, right there less than a meter away! It was so much fun and the kids got a kick out of it. We loved watching this elephant drinking from his trunk and then putting it into his mouth. I am always sad I can't take the kids to the zoo because it is not close but who needs a zoo when we have the circus!!

Hurt Hubby

Jared went on a motorcycle riding trip this weekend and came home like this!!! He is black and blue and swollen and cut, but he got an xray and there are surprisingly no broken bones. He can hardly move and is in a lot of pain. I am glad it wasn't worse! He must've felt pretty bad about leaving for the weekend and then hurting himself because he also brought me home a diamond journey necklace. Now this is not like Jared to buy me diamonds, in fact the only one I have received from him is my wedding ring. He said I deserved it and I have to agree!!!!!

10 YEARS

It has been 10 years since Jared swept me off my feet and we were married! I can't believe how fast time has flown by! In our 10 years of marriage we have both graduated from college, had four children and moved to Mexico to start our life. I wonder what the next 10 years will bring. I really don't want to be 40 so I won't think about it!! I am so glad to have married Jared, we truly are best friends and have fun every day! We are probably just going out to eat tonight but we are planning a trip to the beach this summer to celebrate - and trust me WE NEED IT!!!!
